Nickel and Chromium Origin in Fluvisols of the Petruševec Well Field, Zagreb Aquifer

Soil plays an important role in the accumulation and transport of potentially toxic elements (PTEs), from surface into aquifer. PTEs can get to environment naturally, but also different kinds contamination sources. In this study, a soil profile located vicinity well field Petruševec, one most fields related public water supply City Zagreb, was analyzed. The main aim study determine properties which influence retention/mobilization Ni Cr alluvial soil, as define their origin investigated profile. Results suggest that is geogenic, while probably dominantly anthropogenic origin.
